Black Butterfly
Tell your sons and daughters why
The struggle brings the strength to fly,
And lifts our spirits to the sky.
Let heaven and earth lift up their voice,
And in your freedom all rejoice.
You feel the wind both far and near,
Beneath your wings so bright and clear.
Oh, black butterfly, clap and fling,
With every beat your praises sing.
Downstroke, upstroke, strong and free,
You rise above triumphantly.
Black butterfly, my shining star,
A beacon seen from near and far.
You spark our dreams for all to see,
And show us what we yet can be.
Once bound to earth, you crawled in pain,
Through storms and struggles, sun and rain.
Until the cocoon became your room,
Where transformation came to bloom.
Then brilliant colors filled the air,
A living sign of answered prayer.
God set you free to soar and glide,
With grace and beauty as your guide.
To places only you can see,
Across the hills and over the sea.
Who is more lovely, who can compare?
Your splendor shines beyond compare.
Black butterfly, we learn from you,
A story old yet ever new.
Of courage, faith, and history’s way,
That lights our path from day to day.
Black butterfly, your journey sings
Of hope and strength on vibrant wings.
May future generations see
The power of what they’re meant to be.

Give Your Burdens to God
Your burdens are never too big for God,
No storm too fierce, no road too hard.
When worry, debt, or fear comes near,
Sit in His presence—He is always here.
For children, parents, jobs, and loss,
Trust in Jesus and bear your cross.
With faith as small as a mustard seed,
God can move mountains when you believe.
When others help to carry your load,
Rejoice in the angels God sends on the road.
“Bear one another’s burdens” in love,
And trust the Lord who watches from above.
Like Harriet Tubman, trust and pray:
“I don’t know where to go, but lead the way.”
Give God your burdens, let your heart be free,
His grace will carry you faithfully.

Star of Glory
You are with me through the darkest night,
You are with me as the day takes flight.
Day after day, your glory fills the sky,
While holy angels sing your praise on high.
You never miss a single passing day,
As we grow old and years slip away.
With every single page that we must turn,
In this short book of life, your love we learn.
Star of Glory
But you just opened up your arms so wide,
You made me see the grace that only you could give,
Forgiving even me, so I could live.
No earthly man, no angel in the sky,
Can match the majesty you hold on high.
You are the Lord of lords, the King of kings,
The one to whom my spirit sings.
And as I stare to heavens high,
I shout Hallelujah to the sky!
Star of Glory.
Precious Lord, Your Grace
Precious Lord, Your grace is wide,
Like endless oceans, deep with tide.
Your mercy falls like gentle rain,
And washes clean our guilt and pain.
We stumble daily, lose our way,
Yet still You hear us when we pray.
You lift us when our spirits fall,
Your mercy reaches one and all.
You lift me up when I am weak,
Your mercy flows to all who seek.
Forever saved, forever free,
Your endless grace has rescued me!
So let the wealthy keep their pride,
And treasures stacked both deep and wide;
I’d rather walk through storm and flame,
And still be sheltered by Your name.
Precious Lord, please hold my hand,
And lead me to that promised land,
Where streets may shine with heaven’s gold,
But love is worth far more untold.
There saints will sing around Your throne,
Never again to walk alone,
Forgiven, washed, forever free,
Because Your grace reached even me.

Don't Tell Me You're Not Special
Don’t tell me you’re not special—don’t say it isn’t true,
For God poured out His boundless love on me and also you.
The One who shaped the earth and sky, the mountains and the sea,
Created us with purpose and a sacred destiny.
Don’t tell me you’re not special, for God gave gifts to share;
He placed a special calling in each heart with tender care.
Perhaps you’ll style another’s hair and help restore their pride,
Or balance books with wisdom as the Lord becomes your guide.
Perhaps you’ll teach with patience, planting seeds that bloom one day,
Or bring a touch of healing that will chase the pain away.
Whatever gift God gave to you, don’t bury it in fear;
The world is waiting for your light to shine both bright and clear.
Black butterfly, unfold your wings and let your spirit soar;
The dreams God placed inside your heart were made for something more.
Rise above discouragement, let faith become your guide;
The Lord Himself will lift you up with every faithful stride.
Remember what God’s Word declares—His promise still is true:
Use every gift He’s given as He faithfully leads you.
Serve others as a steward of His rich and wondrous grace,
And let His love through all you do bring hope to every place.
So never say you’re ordinary, never doubt your worth;
For Heaven saw your value long before your earthly birth.
God made you for a purpose that no one else can fill;
Walk boldly in your calling, and trust His perfect will.

The Power to Change Your Life
You have the power to change today;
With God beside you, find your way.
No matter what the doubters say,
His light will guide you every day.
Through prayer and Scripture, day by day,
He strengthens you along the way.
His Word renews your heart and mind,
A deeper peace you’ll surely find.
When burdens weigh upon your soul,
God’s loving grace can make you whole.
Whether sickness, fear, or pain,
His faithful love will still remain.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
He’ll lead your steps from every start.
Forgive, believe, and do what’s right,
For God will turn your dark to light.
So lift your voice and do not fear;
The Father’s loving hand is near.
With faith in Him, you’ll clearly see
He has the power to set you free.
“But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them,
With men this is impossible;
but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26

Believe
Disbelief sees only roadblocks in the night,
While belief beholds God walking in the light.
Doubt breeds a shadow of failure and fear,
But faith brings the peace of a Savior so near.
A heart in the dark has no compass or guide,
Yet belief parts the veil where the truth used to hide.
It lifts up our vision past what eyes can see,
To trace out the path to a high victory.
It reaches for stars and rises past pain,
Restoring the soul with God’s blessings again.
Then grace enters softly, forgiving our sin,
Unlocking the door to new healing within.
An unearned mercy, a holy embrace,
It teaches our hearts how to pardon by grace
Mending the broken and healing the past,
And building a foundation destined to last.
From darkness to beauty, from doubt to belief,
Faith breaks the shadows and comforts our grief.
Held by His promise and led by His hand,
In the light of His goodness, we steadfastly stand.

Love Saw me
Love saw me broken, lost in despair,
Reached down in mercy and met me there.
Love touched the eyes that could not see,
And brought the light that set me free.
Love pulled me up from sorrow’s deep,
Where endless tears had been my sleep.
When I was drowning in the pain,
Love lifted me to breathe again.
When I lay helpless, cold and still,
Love revived me with gentle will.
It saw my soul enslaved to sin,
And cleansed the heavy heart within.
Though I was sentenced unto death,
Love spoke new life with every breath.
Love found me lying all alone,
Then raised me up and called me home.
Love saw depression fill my days,
And turned my mourning into praise.
It chased the darkness from my soul,
And made my wounded spirit whole.
Now every step and every breath
Proclaims the Love that conquered death.
Forever grateful, now I see:
Love looked beyond and rescued me

I Speak Your Name
I speak Your name when I feel alone,
When weary nights seem endless and long.
I speak Your name as tears softly fall,
And somehow you answer my desperate call.
I speak Your name when sorrow takes hold,
Until joy shines brighter than silver and gold.
When joy fades away and pain draws near,
I speak Your name, for you’re always here.
I speak Your name through songs of praise,
Lifting my voice in thankful ways.
I speak Your name when burdened and depressed,
For in Your presence my soul finds rest.
I speak Your name when laughter fills my day,
I speak Your name when blessings come my way.
I speak Your name when my pockets are bare,
For I know Your loving hand is there.
I speak Your name when riches overflow,
For every good gift comes from You alone.
I speak Your name in the warm sunshine,
I speak Your name when storm clouds align.
In every season, in all I proclaim,
My hope is found in Jesus’ name.
Through every valley, through joy and flame,
Forever, Lord, I’ll speak Your name.

God Will Be There
God will be there 365 days a year,
Through every storm, He’ll always be near.
On rainy, slippery days when you might fall,
He’ll lift you up whenever you call.
He’ll be there in happiness and grief,
When you feel lonely, He’ll bring relief.
When you’re discouraged, He’ll give you strength,
Through every trial, He’ll see you through.
When temptation tries to lead you astray,
The Lord will guide you along the way.
When fear and anxiety trouble your mind,
His love and joy will help you unwind.
When friends hurt you or suffering comes,
He’ll give you strength when your strength is gone.
Morning, noon, and through the night,
God will turn your darkness into light.
**365 days, through every year,
In every struggle, God will be near.
Whatever you face, whatever you do,
God will be there—
He’ll carry you through.

Dreams
Don’t be afraid to shine your light,
Your colors are unique, beautiful, and bright.
Let love and compassion fill your heart,
And serve with kindness wherever you start.
Life may feel heavy, the road may seem long,
But hold to your dreams and continue on.
Inspiration can guide you, but endurance will stay;
Small steps each day will carry you along the way.
A dream held tightly can learn how to grow,
With patience and faith, let your purpose show.
You don’t need a leap to move life ahead,
Just take one small step, as your heart is led.
For giving is receiving, and love has a way
Of spreading like ripples from day after day.
One act of kindness can brighten the night,
And send waves of love in every direction of light.

You’re no Outcast
You may feel like an outcast when standing for what is right,
But God will guide your footsteps into His holy light.
Though Christ walked in this world, He was not of its land,
So do not let temptation shake the rock whereon you stand.
Though trials and heavy troubles may meet you on the way,
Remember they are fleeting—they will not always stay.
He breaks the chains of terror, of sorrow and despair,
And carries every burden, for He is always there.
Refuse to let the doubters pull your trusting heart away;
Fix all your eyes on Jesus and seek Him every day.
When solitude surrounds you and you feel left all alone,
Remember that your Savior is leading you back home.
So call yourself no outcast, nor broken, lost, or small,
You’re loved by Him who paid the price and gave His life for all.
In Christ you stand victorious, the battle has been won,
And you will reign forever in the presence of the Son.

When the Lord Appears
In the midst of earthquake, thunder, and lightning’s mighty flame,
The Lord appears in glory, calling every soul by name.
The Lamb’s Book of Life is near; let every heart rejoice,
Have no fear, for heaven’s call is heard in His mighty voice.
The waiting and anticipating have finally reached their end,
The promise made from ages past is here for us to attend.
Since the beginning of time, we’ve waited for Your light,
For the promise of eternal life, forever pure and bright.
Your grace has given me another chance to see
The glory of heaven and what You’ve promised me.
Above the planets, stars, and skies that shine so far,
Your kingdom stands in splendor beyond each moon and star.
No more sorrow, no more pain, no aches to bear,
No more tears or loneliness—Your presence will be there.
The Lord will read my name from the Book of Life,
And lead me into glory, free from earthly strife.
Spirit, move within me; let Your presence set me free,
Let me come into Your arms and dwell eternally.
As I join the faithful gathered in Your holy light,
Let me know the wonder of Your glory and Your might.
And when I stand before You, my Savior and my King,
With angels all around me, let my grateful spirit sing.
For through Your grace and mercy, my journey is complete—
Forever in Your presence, where heaven and worship meet.

Family Reunion
We gather in love from far and near,
Holding close the bonds we cherish dear,
With laughter and stories, old memories bloom,
Bringing warmth and joy to every room.
Through tears and through laughter, we honor our past,
Remembering loved ones whose memories last.
Traditions return with mama’s sweet homemade pies,
And fireworks of joy light up the skies.
Generations unite as voices all sing,
Rejoicing together in the love that we bring.
Though time comes to part and say our goodbye,
By road, rail, or plane, our spirits still fly.
With God by our side through each passing year,
We’ll meet once again when summer draws near.
